Exploring WINE in Ubuntu Jaunty

Wine lets you run Windows software on other operating systems. With Wine, you can install and run these applications just like you would in Windows.

Install WINE via the Add/Remove Applications program.

Configure WINE by typing

root@ismail-laptop:~# winecfg

Simply accept the default values.

Launch WINE via that Applications menu.

You can run cmd.exe and type the DOS commands like you would in Windows.
